BLA’s hands-on training prepares our students to persevere despite uncertain challenges by adopting adaptive leadership skills that allow them to be agile. Students are prepared to modify their approach yet still persevere in achieving their goals when faced with unpredictable challenges.

Prepare to Prevail - Paving the Way To Success

(Job Readiness Planning Workshop) 

Prepare to prevail is our job readiness program, where we demonstrate how to pave your way to success! Our six-week curriculum provides first-hand, practical experience developing foundational skills for graduation and career planning.

STRIVIN + BLA Partnership

We believe the safety of our neighborhood is a shared responsibility! That is why we have proudly partnered with Jackson County COMBAT in their STRIVIN initiative to reduce violence in our communities. 

Peer pressure and negative influences surround our children every day. We work to engage at-risk, underserved youth by providing comprehensive resources centered around study strategies, emotional intelligence, self-esteem, mental health, and conflict resolution. We must work collaboratively to empower our youth. When they believe they can be better - they will be!
